Used car dealers & CarMax are legally allowed to sell unrepaired recalled & unsafe vehicles, even though CarMax labels the vehicles as "quality certified". Approximately 10% of the used vehicle inventory at two California Carmax locations were under Federal recalls and had not been fixed. No indications were given to consumers about the unrepaired recall safety hazards concerning those automobiles.

\This recall affects headlights on Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis years 2003-2005 as well as other vans, & trucks for multiple issues.
GM recalls 2003-2011 Saab 9-3's, 2010-2011 Saab 9-5's & 2008-2009 Saturn Astra's for Takata Airbag replacement. GM Spokesperson, Tim Wilkinson says it's ok continue to drive the affected vehicles until the repairs are made.
Toyota has received reports of injuries, crashes and deaths because of a faulty parking brake in the 2016 & 2017 Prius models. The brake cable can disengage and the vehicle may begin to move if in a gear other than park.
The recall pertains to the deadly Takata exploding airbags, which have killed 16 people so far & includes the following models: 2005-2009 and 2012 Mustang, 05-06 Ford GT, 06-09 Mercury Milan, 2006-2009 and 2012 Fusion, Zephyr & MKZ, 07-09 MKX, and 07-09 Ranger & Edge
FCA US is recalling almost 70,000 AWD vehicles to replace the front prop shaft bolts. This pertains to the drive line where some of the bolts may loosen. The vehicles affected include the 2014-2017 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger Sedans. No injuries have been reported.
A defective fuse has caused over 51 fires in various models of Mercedes cars & SUVs. The models include the C-class, E-class and CLA cars, and GLC SUVs, years 2015-2017.
The power steering hose clamp become loose & can leak which can lead to a fire
An issue with coolant circulation can cause engine overheat, causing pressurized oil to leak through the cylinder head which may catch on fire. Another issued recall involves faulty door latches which may fail and the doors may fly open unexpectedly.
Many newer model 2013-2016 Dodge Ram pickup trucks are being recalled for a software issue which can prevent the airbags from deploying in a rollover accident or crash. A few accidents and one death has been reported because of the recall. The issue may also disable the seat belts.
The 2014 and 2016 Mazda3 and the 2014-2015 Mazda6 are being recalled for faulty parking brakes which can lead to injury or property damage.
Another person has died as a result of the exploding Takata airbags, bringing the death toll to 12. Nissan is recalling 627k Versas, Ford vehicles are affected and Mazda. The Takata Corp. filed bankruptcy last month.
